Panipat is a historic town in the state of Haryana. This town witnessed the three pivotal battles in Indian history and in modern times, it is known as the city of weavers. With a flourishing handloom industry here much of whose manufactured and handmade goods are exported to other countries, this city is fast growing into a modern city of India.
Weather in Panipat is what you would expect in the cities of Northern India which are enclosed by plains on all sides. Being a land of historic battles, this town attracts students of history or tourists simply curious to witness the battleground of the three historic battles of Panipat which were fought here. With the industrial base rapidly developing in this town, it attracts investors, businessmen and traders from all over the country. The city of weavers proves especially lucrative to people in the handloom occupation who have made their homes here after coming from different parts of the country. The best time to visit Panipat is during autumn or spring times when the temperature is moderate and pleasant. The hotels in Panipat are few but their hospitality and food is well known and one must plan a trip to this city to savor its historic past as well as the flavors of the present.
